FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

What is your attendance and cancellation policy?

We believe in providing high-quality, effective therapy which is best achieved through consistent attendance and carry-over of skills. As busy working professionals and parents of little ones, we understand that life events happen. However, we request consistent attendance and at least 24-hour notice for all cancellations. Cancellations are subject to a fee.

Where will services be provided?

We are accepting new clients in Leander, Liberty Hill, Cedar Park, Georgetown, and surrounding areas. Currently, we come to you and provide therapy in the convenience of your child’s home, daycare, or preschool. We are ecstatic to announce our new clinic will be opening this summer 2023!

How long are sessions?

Sessions are scheduled 1-2 times a week depending on your child's needs, as determined during the evaluation. Typically speech therapy sessions are 30-45 minutes, and occupational therapy sessions are one hour. The last 5-15 minutes are dedicated to providing education, resources, strategies, and support to help new skills carry over to home.

Can parents and siblings attend the session?

Parents and caregivers are encouraged to be active participants in their child's therapy as much as possible and to carry over skills within the home. Although we may occasionally include siblings in a therapy session to address certain skills (like taking turns!), we request that siblings or other children not attend sessions so we can limit distractions and ensure your child is making the most of therapy.

If my child receives therapy in school, can we do outpatient therapy, too?

Absolutely! It can be really beneficial for your child to receive school and outpatient therapy. Outpatient therapy allows us the freedom, flexibility, and time to address skills that may not be addressed in therapy at school. We are able to provide individualized, one-on-one sessions and parent collaboration to increase success at home and in your daily routines. We are happy to collaborate with other professionals and therapists working with your child to further improve your child's success!

I am interested in occupational and/or speech therapy for my child. How do I get started?

Contact us for a brief consultation, where we will discuss your concerns and goals for your child. We will then schedule a comprehensive evaluation to assess your child’s strengths and areas we can support in therapy. Together we will determine the appropriate frequency and duration of therapy sessions. Then the fun begins!
